AFRICA 2010, part 4

First Christian Church of Seminole > AFRICA 2010, part 4

Our first full day in Linlongwe, Malawi gave us some insight on the frustrations that missionaries often face in accomplishing the simplest tasks.  Case in point: Larry needed to replace a broken seal on a water pump and ended up traveling to 9 different shops/stores around town before realizing that no one had what he needed.  His best bet – although it is a long-shot – is to send his Malawian worker to the local market (think Wagon Wheel flea market) in hopes he can track down someone with the same parts from an old water pump.

Tomorrow (Saturday) we are conducting a leadership training seminar for local church leaders.  Andy Brandt will be teaching on the Lord’s Supper, Jon Williams on personal evangelism, and I will be teaching on the importance of baptism.  We would all appreciate your prayers.
